Carlos Villarreal Memorial Award

The Carlos Villarreal Memorial Award has been created by the ASIS International Commercial Real Estate Council, in recognition of our former colleague and Council member.

This award is in honor of Carlos and more specifically owing to how he had always distinguished himself as a visionary, mentor, collaborative, polite, patient, and supportive colleague - in all his dealings within the business of Commercial Real Estate security. He will always be remembered as a consummate professional and quiet leader for whom we all had respect.

This award is intended for presentation to a Young Security Professional, who is currently in an entry level or mid level supervisory or managerial role, and who best demonstrates these same characteristics. The Nominee is perceived to be an emerging leader among peers within the Commercial Real Estate Security domain.

Criteria for Nominee is as follows:

• Demonstrates traits reminiscent of Carlos Villarreal (e.g. visionary, collaborative, supportive, patient, desire to be a mentor)
• Correlates to description of Young Professionals & Emerging Leaders in Security
• Associated with Commercial Real Estate business sector
• Local resident of Greater Chicago Area
