Legal Implications of Proprietary Business Information

In this session attendees will learn of the important employment law considerations in the area of protecting proprietary information. This session will address four (4) general areas: ensuring sound policies and pre-employment agreements, the internal investigative process, post termination support including litigation, and recent trends in state and federal trade secret legislation.
The Fusion Center Role in Insider Risk
Presented by: Detective Carlo Davila, Milwaukee Police Department—Fusion Center
In this session attendees will learn how the fusion center works and its link between the private sector and public law enforcement. Presenters will then explain what, when and how private sector members should report incidents and concerns. Lastly the session will review recent trends in business espionage and the impact it causes.
