Demetrius Anderson Biography 

With 38 years of experience as a first responder, Demetrius is a physical security expert. He specializes in access control and surveillance, leveraging Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) concepts and the integration of AI, OSINT, and IoT in modern security solutions. Currently, his efforts are focused on contributing to various advisory boards.

Demetrius has been a major force behind organizing stakeholders to implement AI model overlays on existing surveillance systems. Leveraging extensive industrial knowledge in physical security, surveillance, and related technologies, his comprehensive background includes heading the technical services unit of the police department and contributing to a wide range of critical security initiatives. His experience encompasses managing security for several BSL3 labs, conducting research related to Cesium-137, and performing numerous physical security assessments. He has also served as a liaison to the Illinois State Terrorism & Intelligence Center (ISTIC), Chicago Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Center (CPIC), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). At the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), he played an integral role in developing an AI-assisted real-time data security solution. He holds numerous certifications from organizations such as CPD, FLETC, and DHS.

He is dedicated to educating leaders on technology options to enhance overall security and safety.
